Stage Coach provides AI-enhanced property staging, design, and listing-preparation tools for real estate professionals, homeowners, and service providers.

Depending on the context, Stage Coach may act as:

  • A data controller, determining how and why data is processed; or

  • A data processor, processing Customer Data on behalf of a user or organization.

This distinction is explained in Section 5 (“Customer Data and Role Classification”).

2. Scope of This Privacy Policy

This Policy applies to all users of the Services, including account holders, collaborators, homeowners whose property information is provided by a user, and visitors to our public website.

This Policy does not apply to third-party websites, integrations, or tools that you choose to connect to the Services. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies.

3. Information We Collect

We collect personal information that users provide directly, information automatically collected during use, and information obtained from third parties.

3.1 Information Provided by Users

We collect information such as:

  • Project and property information, including photos, videos, floor plans, staging notes, and other User Content

Users are responsible for ensuring they have lawful authority to upload information relating to third parties (e.g., homeowners or clients).

  • Diagnostic and performance data

  • Location information (if enabled)

5.1 Customer Data

“Customer Data” means any information, files, images, videos, property details, or other content that users upload, submit, or generate within the Services. Users own and control their Customer Data.

5.2 When Stage Coach Acts as a Processor

We act as a processor when users upload information such as:

  • Property photos

  • Client information

  • Staging notes

  • Project files

In these cases, we process Customer Data solely on the user’s behalf and in accordance with their instructions.

5.3 When Stage Coach Acts as a Controller

We act as a controller when:

  • Managing account information

  • Processing billing data

  • Handling marketing communications

  • Securing and monitoring the platform

  • Determining how anonymized or aggregated data is used to improve AI models

This distinction is important for understanding user rights and our regulatory obligations.

6. Use of Artificial Intelligence

Stage Coach uses AI technologies to generate staging recommendations, renderings, and property insights. As noted in the Terms of Service, AI Output is informational only and should not be treated as legal, structural, appraisal, or regulatory advice.

6.1 Transparency (Québec Law 25)

Stage Coach does not make automated decisions that create legal or significant effects for users. AI tools generate suggestions, but users remain responsible for validating accuracy and determining how to apply outputs.

6.2 AI Training

We may use anonymized or aggregated data derived from Customer Data to improve AI accuracy and performance. Users may opt out by contacting info@trystagecoach.com.

7. How We Share Personal Information

Stage Coach does not sell personal information.

We may disclose personal information to:

  • Service providers supporting hosting, AI processing, authentication, payments, analytics, communication, and security

  • Legal authorities where required

  • Prevent harm, fraud, or misuse

  • Enforce our Terms of Service

  • Ensure compliance with fair-housing laws

  • Facilitate business transactions (e.g., mergers, acquisitions)

  • Parties authorized by the user

Sub-processors may include cloud providers, monitoring tools, analytics vendors, email delivery partners, and customer support systems. A list may be provided upon request or posted later.

Because the Services operate in both Canada and the United States, personal information may be transferred across these jurisdictions. We implement contractual, technical, and organizational safeguards consistent with applicable laws.

Stage Coach does not currently respond to browser-initiated “Do Not Track” signals.

14. Children’s Privacy

The Services are intended for individuals aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If we learn that a minor has submitted information, we will delete it promptly.
